The world is so huge that majority of people will never get the chance to see every corner of it. From the peak of the tallest mountains to the depths of the seas there is a lot out there to visit such as: The Pyramids, Stonehenge or The Great Wall of China
Humans are responsible for creating some really amazing and massive things, but I don’t think many of us actually realize and appreciate how fascinating our planet is. Take a look at these 16 great universe photos that will make the Earth look a bit smaller.
.) Have you ever thought about what it would be like to see the whole world at once? We’re thinking it would be kind of enormous.
.) Our planet is one of the smallest in our tiny neighborhood.
.) That small spot is actually what North America would look like on Jupiter.
.) Six Earths could fit just on Saturn’s rings and there would still be place.
.) And here is how it would look like if Earth had rings like Saturn’s from different points of our planet. We think it looks super mystical and fabulous.
.) When you picture a meteor shower or comets coming from the sky, chances are you’re picturing something about the size of an exercise ball give or take. Well, a probe was just landed on a comet and take a look at the size of it compared to L.A.
.) An Earthrise taken from the view of a spacecraft orbiting the Moon. Looks gorgeous
.) It’s difficult to believe that this tiny spot is actually our lovely planet from the view of Mars’ surface.
.) If we move even further away, we can still be seen from Saturn.
.) Not as impressive from Neptune though, our moon cannot be seen anymore.
.) Earth is so small compared to the Sun that the entire Sun could not fit in the photo! We do not want to imagine what would happen if the Earth really was this close to the Sun. In fact, there probably wouldn’t be an Earth if it got that close.
.) If that doesn’t cause you to swear a bit, our Sun is actually pretty small compared to other stars out there in universe. Compared to the VY Canis Majoris, which is a billion times bigger than our sun.
.) If you can’t add this into perspective, try to get this. All the stars that we can see at night are cramped to this small little space.
.) This tiny section taken from Hubble telescope has thousands of galaxies and millions of stars. And some people still think we’re the only living beings to exist in this universe.
.) For example, the UDF 423 galaxy which is galaxy that is 10 billion light years away and it means that you are looking back in time.
.) Finally, something about Black Holes. The gravity within a black hole is so strong that no matter including light can get in or out leaving making them invisible.
