Job description: Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Technical Project Manager who will be instrumental in driving both engineering success and product innovation. This role is responsible for the forward progress and innovation of our mobile app, focusing on execution, coordination, and ideation. You will lead a team of engineers and designers to successfully plan, implement, test, and release new features, improvements, and fixes, thereby enhancing the veterinary care experience for our customers.Our infrastructure heavily relies on third-party resources, making it essential for you to ensure that not only are new integrations successful, but also that existing solutions are regularly audited, evaluated, and enhanced as necessary.Typical Responsibilities
- Engineering Management and Resource Optimization: Manage sprint cycles including planning, 1:1s, weekly check-ins, and demos. Run point on grooming and prioritizing tasks from the backlog, ensuring the correct amount of tasks are selected for each sprint. Regularly audit team processes and optimize team resources to ensure maximum productivity and effectiveness.
- Ensure Resiliency of Systems: Lead on-call schedules, collaborate with medical, customer service, and front office teams to implement system improvements, and coordinate resources during crises. Ensure that our systems are performant and resilient, maintaining continuous service delivery.
- Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular evaluations of team members to ensure continuous improvement and optimization of team performance.
- Vendor Management: Maintain ongoing relationships with current vendors, such as Vetlink, and evaluate new technology partners as needed.
- Quality Assurance and Timely Delivery: Ensure that the quality of code written by the team is of high standard and that features are delivered on schedule. Provide accurate estimations for project timelines with the assistance of engineers.
- Product Management: Work closely with the product team to refine product visions, participate in the design and prototyping process, and analyze product performance to guide future developments. Responsible for analyzing the success of features, ideating through product analytics, introducing cohorts, and potentially conducting A/B testing.
Required Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Flutter, some experience with Next.js and Golang
- Strong expertise in TypeScript (Node.js)
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, Redshift, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPCs, and Security Groups
- Familiarity with any CI/CD tool, preferably Bitrise
Required Project Management Skills
- Extensive experience with SCRUM and AGILE methodologies
- Proficiency in using project management tools such as Slack
Required Product Management Skills
- Experience with design and prototyping tools like Figma
- Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Amplitude
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with animation and illustration
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools like Metabase
- Experience with payment gateways like Xendit
- Familiarity with error reporting tools like New Relic and project management tools like Notion
- Experience with a Customer Data Platform (CDP) such as Segment
