The Supply Chain Manager position is based in Jakarta and reports directly to the Indonesia Finance and Operations Director and will have a dotted line reporting to the Region APAC Senior Supply Chain Director.The position
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and driving the supply chain strategy and operations in Indonesia to ensure a mature supply chain setup in both Indonesia and APAC. The role requires a candidate with extraordinarily strong communication and inspiring leadership skills, as the Supply Chain Manager is expected to create awareness of the importance of Commercial Supply Chain and drive strategic change processes.
Other role tasks are as follows but is not limited to:
- Assist in defining and further developing the APAC Supply Chain Strategy and be responsible for driving and executing it in Indonesia. You will develop relevant affiliate-specific supply chain initiatives by completing and analyzing the value chain in our local operations.
- Coordinate monitoring, reporting, and planning related to supply chain risk, including market prioritization during capacity constraints. Develop the Supply Chain setup in Indonesia through analysis and identification of process improvement opportunities, rolling out KPIs, and exploring improvement opportunities in the value chain (e.g., distribution set-up, branch level allocations).
- Proactively assist in training the affiliates and the local management teams, including stock projections, S&OP’s, local supply chain investment decisions, distribution contract negotiations, and distributor quality audits.
- Coordinate and oversee the activities related to Supply Chain and Logistics in the country, working in close collaboration with the Supply Chain Center of Excellence (CoE) team.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree and preferably a post graduate degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Business Administration, or other relevant postgraduate.
- More than 8 years of progressive experience within logistic, supply chain management roles, performance tracking and project management or equivalent
- At least 3 years of people management experience. You must be capable of strategic thinking and bring the organisation towards the defined roles.
- A strong communicator with good negotiations skills. Excellent analytical skills, value and result oriented. You have a proven ability to drive business results in a complex and dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English is required, and international and cross-cultural experience is an advantage.
